Group Fitness Class Descriptions
Barre is a fusion of strength conditioning, ballet, yoga and pilates, this workout pairs light dumbbells with your own bodyweight and high repetitions to improve your muscular endurance, balance, and stability.
Beginner Yoga is a slower-paced yoga class designed to accommodate any Yoga experience level. Whether you want to learn the basics or build a mindful foundation, this class is great for everyone.
Boxing teaches the basics of stance, footwork, and punches, while also working on stamina, strength, and endurance. From the absolute beginner to the experienced boxer, anyone can join in!
Core Focus uses bodyweight and equipment to functionally strengthen the muscles around the core and strengthens the body overall. This 30-minute class is accessible to all fitness levels and incorporates core, glute, and low-impact exercises.
Cycle45 is a low-impact stationary 45-minute bike ride designed for all fitness levels. Sprint, surge, and climb as you combine speed with resistance set to an epic playlist.
Cycle55 is a low-impact stationary 55-minute bike ride designed for all fitness levels. Sprint, surge, and climb as you combine speed with resistance set to an epic playlist.
CycleAbs combines our popular Cycle45 and Core Focus classes to give you a rush of energy through cardio and core training. This workout is low-impact and open to all fitness abilities.
DanceFit combines the hottest dance moves with the latest fitness trends to keep you moving and make your workout fun! No dance or fitness experience is required – just show up and give it your all.
F45 Training is a global fitness community specializing in innovative, high-intensity group workouts that are fast, fun, and results-driven. F45 is specifically designed to provide a functional full-body workout while improving energy levels, metabolic rate, strength, and endurance. The team mentality at F45 Training helps members transform their lifestyle physically and mentally while encouraging community growth and a no-ego attitude.
HIIT: High Intensity Interval Training. HIIT uses short bursts of high-intensity movement with quick recovery times to advance your cardiovascular fitness.
Mindful Yoga helps participants to relax and center themselves through mindful movement. No prior yoga experience is required. Mindful Yoga is brought to the O’Connor Center for Recreation in collaboration with the Counseling Center.
POP Pilates is a mat-based class that uses your body weight to challenge your muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility. It’s like a dance on the mat.
Power Yoga Flow
Power Yoga Flow is an energetic, fast–paced flow with quick transitions and an emphasis on building strength. Modifications will be offered for all levels, but it is recommended that you have practiced yoga before. Participants will have the opportunity to practice more advanced inversions, arm balances, and deeper variations.
STRONG30 combines bodyweight, muscular conditioning, cardio, and plyometric training all masterfully choreographed to the best of the music. This music-based HIIT workout is a fun way to get moving!
Vinyasa Yoga Flow
Vinyasa Yoga flow combines breath with mindful movement through heat-building sequences that strengthen the mind and the body.
Yin Yoga is a slower and more meditative yoga practice. Poses are held longer than a traditional yoga classes and target deep in your muscles to improve flexibility as well as your overall well-being. Beginners are welcome to join our Yin Yoga practice.
Zumba combines high-energy music from all over the world with easy-to-follow dance moves in an effective workout that is tons of fun! Zumba is perfect for all fitness levels. Participants are invited to make up their own moves, to laugh, and to have fun!
