Experiential Education Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of all EE Outdoor Instructors
  • Assist with daily administration and logistics of the Experiential Education Programs
  • Help student instructors develop technical outdoor and leadership skills
  • Assist with the design, coordination, and the leading of training trips within the various specialties (backpacking, caving, flatwater and whitewater canoeing, climbing, disc golf, mountain biking, sailing, sea kayaking, and whitewater kayaking)
  • Assist in goals and projects of the Office of Recreation
  • Assist the instructors of the ten-day Hopkins Outdoor Leadership Training Instructors’ Course in May
  • Help direct the Outdoor Pre-Orientation program in August
  • Continually evaluate program risk management and implement ongoing training
