Johns Hopkins University Mail Services has three locations across campus, each with a variety of services so that each student can choose the best options for their individual needs and preferences. Explore this section to find important information on our locations and hours through the year.

Move-Out

MAILROOM TIMELINES AND HOURS

The last day that the mailrooms will accept packages on Wednesday, May 14. Any packages not picked up from the mailrooms after 12PM on Thursday, May 15 will be sent back to Sender.

All residential mailrooms will have updated hours starting Monday, April 28 through Thursday, May 15. All mailrooms will open at 10am and close at 5:30pm.

April 28 – May 15 | All mailrooms will be open at 10:00AM and close at 5:30PM. On Saturdays, the mailrooms are open from 11AM – 4PM.

SHIPPING OPTIONS

The Wolman Mailroom offers everything you need to pack and/or ship your belongings. You may purchase boxes, tape, and ship UPS from the Shipping Depot in Wolman Hall Mailroom through May 9. Starting May 10, the Shipping Depot will be open in the Wolman Hall MPR.

JHU does NOT permit the use or storage of “POD” containers on campus. Please DO NOT use any “POD” company.

If you are using a company like Dorm Room Movers, please be aware that the company’s staff members entering the building need to be signed in as guests when they come to pick up your boxes.

FORWARD YOUR MAIL

To make sure that all important mail reaches your home/new address by contacting individuals or logging into your accounts (Amazon/favorite shipping services, bank accounts, credit cards, subscriptions, etc.) and setting up your statements to be mailed to your new address. All letter mail will be forwarded for a period of 3 months. All packages for non-residents will be returned to the sender. Only students living in Rogers House, Homewood, and Bradford should complete a change of address with USPS.

Alumni Memorial Residence II (AMR II)

Located on the Main Level, past Residential Life Office. Handles all mail and packages for AMR I, AMR II, and AMR III residents.

Note: In the above mailing address, “AMR II #_____” refers to the student’s 4-digit mailbox number for their assigned mailbox in the AMR II Mailroom, where all AMR residents’ mailboxes are located.

Scott-Bates Commons (formerly Charles Commons)

Located in the lobby of the Charles Street building. Handles all mail and packages for Scott-Bates Commons’ residents, and packages only for Homewood residents. Letter mail is delivered by USPS to Homewood.
